Nestling on the eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park, our cottages are perfect for less mobile guests, they are all on the same level throughout and enjoy stylish open plan interiors and pretty sun trap patios. Stabling facilities are available on-site, with horses and pets welcome.

Beautiful countryside views surround the property which is ideally situated for walking and touring the Yorkshire Dales to the west and the ancient city of York and spectacular Castle Howard to the South. Enchanting heritage spa town Harrogate is also within easy reach.

No.1 Mowbray Cottage - 1 bedroom cottage

This is an immaculately converted historic building, boasting outstanding disabled facilities throughout.  This cottage is more suited to a couple, although there is the option of a sofa bed offering additional sleeping space for a further two guests if required. All on the ground floor, the living space is open plan in style, the kitchen and dining area features all essential appliances including an electric oven with hob, a fridge and a microwave. The sitting room has a TV and a warm and welcoming homely decor.

Bedrooms - One double. Ensuite bathroom.

The property has ramp access, grab rails and wide accessible doorways.

No.2 Mowbray Cottage - 2 Bedroom Cottage.

This cottage is more suited to a couple. There is a comfortable sitting room with stunning views and a kitchen fully fitted with all you need for an enjoyable holiday.

Bedrooms - One double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. This cottage has a modern wet room and level access.

Sunny patio area with lovely rural views.

Ample off road parking is available on-site.

Pets welcome including horses/ stabling on-site.

Idyllic rural Herriot Country cottage ideal for touring the Yorkshire Moors & Dales.  South Kilvington has a superb dining pub within walking distance, and the golf course is 1 mile away. There is a good swimming pool, gym, and sauna in Thirsk, and we can happily arrange pony trekking nearby. Whilst the cottage is within easy walking distance of Thirsk and South Kilvington, a car is definitely an advantage as public transport is limited.
