About these Holiday Cottages
Smugglers Rock Cottages are 3 beautiful self catering cottages set in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and sea. Situated in Ravenscar, at the southern end of Robin Hood's Bay, they are the ideal base from which to explore the area. All our cottages have a 4 star rating with the English Tourist Board and free high speed air fibre WiFi is available.

Inside the Cottages
All three charming non-smoking cottages are self contained and sleep four people (plus a baby in a travel cot), and are equipped with Freeview TV, DVD player, CD/stereo, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, and all are provided with patio furniture and barbecue.
Smugglers Rock and Smugglers Cove
Smugglers Rock and Smugglers Cove have been converted from the stable of the old inn and comprise a lounge and fully equipped kitchen/diner.
There is a double and a twin bedroom (2 x 2'6" beds) on the first floor and a family shower room. They enjoy a shared, enclosed patio and garden, and there is parking on site.
Smugglers View Cottage is a conversion from part of the main guest house and comprises of a fully equipped kitchen and dining area with exposed stone wall.
Downstairs there is a 4 poster bedroom, twin room (2 x 2'6" beds) and shower room. Upstairs is the lounge with a stripped pine wood floor, wood burning stove and spectacular views. This cottage has a private enclosed patio area.
Please note: due to the staircase opening directly into the upstairs lounge, small children need careful supervision.

**Our cottages allow up to 2 well behaved dogs. Please advise at time of booking: breed and age of dog (min. Age 6 months and fully house-trained) on arrival date**
For the convenience of our guests, we offer a welcome tray with tea, coffee, biscuits, shloer, eggs and milk.
Free high speed air fibre WiFi is available.
We have a Caravan Club CL licence which enables us to have up to five touring caravans on our one acre field adjacent to the house. Each of the pitches has access to a 16A electric hook-up, water tap and grey water disposal, and Wi-Fi service (extra charges apply). The site is for Caravan and Motorhome members only. The minimum stay is three nights except during peak times when it is five nights.Availability
Our cottages are open all year. Short breaks of two nights or more may be available during the low season ans as last minute stays. During the main season, the changeover day is Saturday.

Around and About
Guests are close to amenities including several good pubs and restaurants in the area and several supermarkets within the nearby towns of Scarborough and Whitby.
There are lots of outdoor pursuits and activities for holidaymakers around Ravenscar including pony and husky trekking, cycle hire, tennis and golf are all available locally. The walking is excellent with the dis-used railway line and the Cleveland Way. The Moors to Coast cycle route also runs past the house.
There is a variety of restaurants in Scarborough and Whitby, with several good pubs in the vicinity of Ravenscar, all of which serve excellent food. There is access to our local beach (via 100 steps) a couple of miles from Smugglers Rock. There are also lovely beaches in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey.
Travelling from the south, take the A171 towards Whitby at Cloughton and about 6 miles outside Scarborough take the righthand turn marked Ravenscar. Keep on this road towards the village for about 5 miles, then up the hill towards Ravenscar there is a disused windmill on the right. Smugglers Rock is opposite on the left. Drive past it, and continue into the car park around the back. The cottage entrances are here. From the North, head towards Whitby and take the A171 towards Scarborough. About 9 miles out of Whitby on the left hand bend you'll spot the Falcon Inn. Turn left, then left again and follow the road to the bottom of the hill. Turn left to Ravenscar, and follow above at the disused windmill.
