    Around and About

The farmhouse sits on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park surrounded by superb walking country.  The market town of Skipton with its award-winning markets, great inns and famous medieval castle is only 5 miles away.

Leeds, Bradford, York, Harrogate, the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, Bolton Abbey and the Settle-Carlisle Railway are all within easy reach.  The property is also conveniently close to Leeds Bradford Airport.

    Directions

From the south, travelling north on the A1 or the M1, take the M62 West, onto the M606 heading towards Bradford.

When you reach the end of the M606 follow the ring road signs for Keighley and Skipton, then the A650 to Keighley.  After passing Keighley, continue on the A629 heading towards Skipton.  At the Kildwick roundabout take the second exit heading up a road with speed ramps into Cross Hills.  Take a right, then continue through Cross Hills on the Colne Road.

When you have passed 2 pelican crossings take a right at the Police Station, heading towards Lothersdale.  Stay on this road for around 2 miles.  When you reach the crossroads, take a left to Lothersdale, then right to Cononley, and then straight ahead to Elslack.

Carry on up the hill and you will see Tow Top - the first farm on the right hand side after a sharp bend.  Note a small, fenced-off garden at the top of the drive.

From the M6/ M65 - follow signs for Keighley, and take the Colne - Keighley Road (A6068) to Glusburn and Cross Hills.  Shortly after you pass the mill and school to your right, take a left at the police station and head towards Lothersdale - then follow directions as above.  Street Head is 3 gateways on the right up the road from Tow Top - the metal gate is often open.

From Skipton - follow signs for Carleton in Craven, and once in Carleton take the narrow road just opposite The Swan - there is a 3-storey building on the corner.

Continue along this road, up the hill to a T-junction at the top of the road.  Take a left, and continue for around 3/4 mile.  Tow Top is on your left with a small fenced-off roadside garden.

For guests arriving a little later - Street Head is the second gateway on the left just after the T junction.  Drive through the field, and the property is immediately in front of you overlooking the valley.
