    About this Bed and Breakfast

    Situated in the picturesque village of Embsay, Crown Cottage Guesthouse is a beautifully presented country cottage set in five acres of private land with luxury en-suite accommodation.


    We provide an attentive service with a warm and friendly atmosphere, delicious breakfasts and a cosy guest lounge.


    We are in the ideal location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a large number of walking trails surrounding. We are also within driving distance of historic York city – a perfect day trip option.


    Guests are welcome to use our free Wi-Fi and private parking facilities throughout their stay with us.


    Bedrooms / Bathrooms

    Our three attractive and fully furnished bedrooms are individually styled with contemporary furnishings and high quality beds and linens.


    Room choices include a standard double, a small double and a twin room all of which have a flat screen Freeview TV, clock radio, hair dryer, hot water bottles and a well stocked hospitality tray.


    All rooms have a modern en-suite with shower facilities, complimentary toiletries and towels are provided for your stay.


    Breakfast

    Breakfast is served in our bright and welcoming dining area each morning and includes a wide variety of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, porridge and beverages followed by a cooked breakfast.


    Cooked options include a traditional Full English breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients or a range of lighter cooked breakfasts including scrambled egg, salmon and toast.


    If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know in advance. Packed lunches are available from £6.50 per person. 24 hours notice is required.  


    Other Facilities

    Guests are welcome to relax in our lounge with wood burning stove, large flat screen TV and sumptuous sofas.


    Please note:

    We do not take children under the age of 10.
    Smoking is not permitted inside the guesthouse – there are designated outdoor smoking areas.  

    Availability

    Check in is available between 4pm and 6pm on arrival day and rooms must be vacated on departure day by 10am. Bank holidays are subject to a minimum stay of 2 nights.

    We are set in the beautiful rural location of Embsay near the market town of Skipton – perfect for those looking to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park.


    The area is particularly popular with keen walkers, offering a range of walking routes for all levels over moorlands, through woodlands and along riversides.


    We are a short drive away from Bolton Abbey, Harrogate and the historic city of York.  


    Directions

    Once you have come into the village of Embsay from Skipton, you will pass the Cavendish Arms Pub on the rights hand side.


    Take the next left turn onto West Lane(the steam railway entrance is on the right).


    At the next junction keep going up the road. At the T junction turn left onto Pasture Road, we are ¾ mile from here. You will pass the duck ponds on the left, then Manor Farm on the right.


    At the right hand bend keep going up the road and we are the first farm house you will see on the right. (DON'T turn IN right IN front OF THE house) but come up the road and turn Right into the rear of the house signed:- crown cottage farm.


    There is a large parking area. Knock on the door next to the bear.
