Cross Farm Barns are a selection of 4 Star self-catering holiday cottages in the Yorkshire market town of Holmfirth in the heart of 'Last of the Summer Wine' Country. This fabulous area is renowned for its stunning beauty and offers fantastic walking opportunities in the high hills and lush green valleys. The quiet unspoilt villages found here contain a variety of unique shops, country pubs, fine restaurants and cafe bars. The area has been featured in the Yorkshire TV series 'Where The Heart Is', and many of the cast stayed with us during the summer filming season.
AccommodationTwo of our cottages sleep 4 people with a double room and a twin room, whilst our third cottage sleeps 2 (in a double room).
All three cottages are fully furnished, centrally heated and modernised whilst retaining much of their rustic Yorkshire charm.
Kitchens are well equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave oven, fridge / freezer and laundry facilities including a washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Spacious comfortable lounges contain colour TVs, videos, radios and CD players, and the largest cottage even has Sky TV.
Bedrooms have amazing views of the surrounding Yorkshire Pennines - awake to the stunning scenery and tranquillity of the surrounding Yorkshire countryside.
Twin, double and single bedrooms all feature fresh co-ordinated bedding, pillows and beautiful furnishings.
All bathrooms are beautifully tiled and include a wash basin, bath, shower and clean and fluffy bath towels.
Guests often remark on our cosy sitting area upstairs. This huge loft space is hidden away and has dark exposed beams in a traditional style and luxury white sofas for the perfect 'quiet night in'.
Outside is a pretty paved garden with furniture, perfect for an al fresco meal in the warmer months.Special to Cross Farm Barn Cottages

Around and About
Holmfirth is surrounded by spectacular rural scenery and is ideally placed for exploring the Peak District and Yorkshire Pennines. Chester, York, Harrogate, the Yorkshire Dales, the Staffordshire Potteries and Alton Towers are all within easy reach.
Travelling from the south, exit the M1 at Junction 35a and follow signs for Manchester/Huddersfield for around 10 miles. At the large roundabout continue straight over onto the A616 heading towards Huddersfield.
Continue on this road for 1 mile, and at the crossroads take a left turn onto the B6106 towards Holmfirth.
Carry on for around 5 miles until you see a windmill on your right, then look out for a minor crossroads and signpost marked Scholes on the right - just after this sign you will see Cross Farm Barn on the righthand side.
