Tucked away in the southern reaches of Exmoor National Park, The Piggery at Stockham Farm is a beautifully presented detached stone barn set in the hills close to Dulverton. Ideal for families, walking holidays and horse-riding breaks, a wealth of scenic walks can be enjoyed right from the doorstep and the cottage accepts dogs by prior arrangement.
The contemporary living area retains lovely original features such as exposed beams and there is wood flooring along with a gas 'wood burner' effect stove. Entertainment facilities include a Smart TV and the family dining area has six chairs. The superbly appointed kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, fan assisted oven, ceramic hob and microwave.

The property has fenced patio area with outdoor furniture and BBQ. This area overlooks the surrounding farmland, paddocks, the hills of Exmoor and the pond next to the cottage. There is also parking for three cars and a handy outdoor tap for washing off muddy dogs or boots. Please note that this area, while fenced, is not entirely enclosed/ dog proof. Guests are also welcome to explore the farm's 35 acres which is home to horses, Exmoor Horn sheet and red deer.
Across the drive are the stables which can house up to four horses. Horses are charged at £20 each per night and bridle-paths up to the moor can be found closeby.
Other Things to Note
The rental charge includes heating (including underfloor heating), electricity, satellite Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels. Please bring beach and dog towels if they are required. A welcome pack of sparking wine, homemade scones, Cornish clotted cream, locally made jam and milk is provided along with a basic stock of kitchen essentials including tea, coffee and sugar.
Short breaks of two nights or more may be available at certain times of the year. Check in time is after 4pm and please vacate by 10am on your departure day.
Two dogs over one year old are welcome by prior arrangement. Please note we do note accept puppies and dogs are not permitted on the furniture/ upstairs. The charge for dogs is £30 each per stay.
