With rolling hills and unspoilt countryside all around, Forest Field is perfect for a couple looking for a Lake District getaway. The cottage is adjacent to the Victorian school master’s house and nestled in the little known Rusland Valley. Grizedale Forest, Coniston and Lake Windermere are all a short drive away. If you want to explore the great outdoors on foot there are miles of footpaths and ancient tracks for keen walkers to explore. There’s free Wi-Fi access and a private car park for one car.
Inside
Fully centrally heated, Forest Field cottage is contained on one level and has everything a couple needs to make their stay as comfortable as possible. The cosy lounge and dining area is open plan with a TV, DVD player, easy chairs and an electric stove heater. You have lovely views out to the garden and surrounding countryside.
he fully fitted kitchen has a ceramic hob, microwave, grill and oven and fridge with freezer compartment.
Bedroom / Bathroom
The bedroom can either be arranged with a king double or twin beds. There’s a luxury bathroom with large bath, separate power shower, wash basin and vanity unit. A toilet is separated from the main room.
Outside
A gate from the lane leads on to an enclosed terrace which has an outdoor table and chairs: a real sun trap in the mornings especially! Garden walks with seating and summer house. Private car parking on site.

Directions
From M6 (Jn 36): A590 towards Ulverston and Barrow. Five miles past Newby Bridge on a section of dual carriageway you come to Greenodd roundabout. Take the third exit signed Workington (A 5092 leading to A595).
Travel about half a mile. Take Road signed to the right indicating ‘Colton and Oxen Park’.
Travel 2 miles on a minor road. Ignore side roads. Just beyond the sign marking the start of the hamlet of Colton, on a left hand bend, right turn at sign ‘Colton Church and Bouth’.
Very minor road goes up a short hill and swings sharply right. Ignore the road on left to the church. Go past Greenhead Farm on right. Go through gate across the road. Forest Field is immediately on your right.
