    Ideal for families or small groups, Signalman's Rest is perched high above the village of Coniston and was completely renovated a few years ago. Split over three floors, the property was once the residence of the signalman of old Victorian 'Furness Railway' which linked Coniston to Broughton in Furness via the Woodland Valley.


    The cottage boasts fabulous views over the village, Coniston Water, the hills of Grizedale and the Yewdale Fells. It is the perfect 'home from home' retreat for up to six adults or a party of eight with children.


    Inside

    The spacious lounge has a large three seater leather sofa, open fire, window seat, Freesat TV, DVD player plus a range of books, games and DVDs. The entrance hallway has storage and this space leads to the fully enclosed back yard before entering the main house. The dining room has a wood burner stove and dining space for eight people. A great range of self catering facilities can be found in the kitchen such as a fridge/ freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, gas hob, electric double oven and microwave.

    Lockable bike storage is also available onsite and there is parking for two cars.

    The rental charge includes bed linen, towels, electricity, Wi-Fi, central heating and an initial stock of fuel for the open fire. A travel cot and high chair can be hired for your stay.
