Around and About
The farm sits on the edge of Lorton Village, just off the C2C cycle route and in one of the more secluded parts of the Lake District. Lorton Village is a charming country village within walking distance containing a range of amenities including a pub, shop and tennis courts.
From the M6/Penrith head west on the A66 towards Keswick and Cockermouth. After passing Keswick, turn left towards Braithwaite and Whinlatter Pass to Lorton (6 miles). Go past the Forestry Commission visitors centre and take the next left signposted to Scales and C2C route. From West Cumbria take the A66 to Cockermouth then the B5292 to High Lorton. At the village hall (Boonbeck) follow signs for scales.
