    Wagtail is a fabulous family and pet friendly cottage set within 8 acres of stunning grounds and gardens near Axminster.  The cottage is 1 of 6 beautifully appointed properties at Lea Hill Country Cottages and is a gentle stroll from Membury village with its historic castle.  Numerous walks are direct from your door and we have a dog exercise field onsite.  Axminster with its choice of shops and restaurants is a short drive away and the Devon/ Dorset Jurassic coast is only minutes away.  


    Living SpaceWagtail is one of our most popular cottages with families, dog owners and couples.
    Accommodation is appointed to a high standard throughout.
    Living space is open plan, featuring a lounge and kitchen area.
    The lounge has an electric woodburner, comfortable seating, a TV and DVD.
    A kitchenette with essential appliances and accessories has limed oak cupboards.
    Separate dining room and a separate utility room with a washing machine and wc.Bedrooms / BathroomsTwo stylish bedrooms and 1 bathroom are upstairs. 
    Spacious double bedroom with a cot.
    Twin bedroom with zip and link beds which can be a king-size double on request.
    Bathroom with a bath and shower over, wash basin and wc.Outside

    French windows lead out to a private terrace and enclosed, sheltered garden.  Parking is onsite and guests have open access to 8 acres of communal grounds and gardens with a BBQ and Summerhouse.

    The cottage and setting are perfect for holidays with dogs.  Choose from numerous walks from your door - a network of footpaths and bridleways surround us.  A dog exercise field is onsite and dog friendly facilities include dog towels, bowls and grooming tools.  Dog friendly beaches are also within easy reach.


    Availability

    Changeover day for weekly bookings is usually Friday.  Short breaks are available.  Arrival is from 3pm and departure is by 10am.

    Beautiful Membury village is within easy walking distance and is one of England's few villages still celebrating the May Oak Apple Day.  The village has a castle and amenities.  Bustling Axminster, home to the famous River Cottage Canteen, is just minutes away and the Jurassic Coast is an easy drive.
