The Hunters Rest Inn was built in 1750 as a hunting lodge for the Earl of Warwick and overlooks the Cam Valley to the Mendip Hills and over the Chew Valley to the port of Bristol. It's five recently created and beautifully presented ensuite rooms offer the perfect base for families holidaying in the area, couples on a romantic break or discerning business people seeking a relaxing stay in a traditional English Inn. The Inn is fully equipped for disabled access and facilities onsite include ample car parking, a spacious beer garden and a conservatory a la carte restaurant. The Inn offers the perfect base for exploring the area being convenient for both Bath & Bristol and nestles in the beautiful Wansdyke countryside. We are famous for our famous miniature steam railway; 1/3 of a mile long carrying passengers through our landscaped gardens, running every weekend in the season (weather permitting). We also have a children's play area at the Inn and have Fun Family Nights every Wednesday in the Summer.

From BathLeave Bath following the signs for Bristol (A4); at 'The Globe Pub' roundabout follow the signs for Wells (A39) keep following all Wells signs through the village of Farmborough 1 mile after the village you will see a disused pub sign on the right, turn right here and continue along lane - The Hunters Rest is 1 mile on the right.
From BristolFollow the signs for Wells (A37) continue through the village of Pensford until large roundabout, turn left towards Bath and after 100 metres turn right up country lane, follow lane to the T junction, turn left to the top of the hill - The Hunters Rest is 1 mile from the main road.
