The Grove is a specialist hotel for guests with a cancer diagnosis, or other life-limiting conditions such as MND, MS and serious heart conditions. Guests do have to meet criteria to be able to stay here.
The Grove is a Macmillan Hotel, ideal for guests with mobility or health issues. All of the bedrooms have an emergency call button and the bathrooms are fitted with emergency pull chords.
There is a dedicated nurse onsite, so whatever your needs, you can be rest assured that you will receive the highest standards of service and care during your holiday.
Bedrooms / Bathrooms
All 30 of our bedrooms have a private bathroom, and provide warm and comfortable accommodation. One of the bedrooms is fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act, and includes a remote control bed and a recliner chair. There are also two bathrooms that are DDA compliant and have wheelchair access.
The facilities available in each bedroom include a direct dial telephone, internet access, emergency call button, Freeview- enabled flatscreen TV, radio, safe, hair dryer, luggage rack and a hospitality tray.
A delicious breakfast is served from 8.30am to 9.30am at The Grove - the full cooked breakfast includes, bacon, sausage, baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, fried bread, grilled tomatoes, smoked haddock and eggs (fried poached or scrambled.)
Alternatively, lighter options such as cornflakes, rice crispies, weetabix, bran flakes, muesli and hot porridge are available. There is also toast, tea or coffee.
Free WiFi. Large onsite car park. We also have a private beach hut on Bournemouth beach, which our guests are welcome to use.
Unique to our hotel, there are various local coach trips, free of charge, that we run three times a week. Please enquire for details. As we are a Macmillan hotel, we welcome donations, and do our utmost to ensure that guests receive the best care possible. We have an onsite nurse and bedrooms available with wheelchair access.

Around and About
Our hotel is conveniently located close to the the seafront of Bournemouth, and the bustling town centre. One of the more popular coastal resorts in the the South of England, holidaymakers flock to the area all year round, thanks to the seven miles of golden sands and scenic coastlines.
There are various sightseeing tours running throughout the town, showcasing the best historical and heritage sites, as well as other attractions.
Arriving by Car: On the Wessex Way (A35 or A338) when you approach the main roundabout, turn into St. Paul's Road (Asda will be on your left). At the next roundabout turn right into Holdenhurst Road which is the B3066. At the next roundabout, which is the Lansdowne roundabout, take the third exit into Bath Road. Follow this road until the next roundabout (on your left is a petrol station) go onto the roundabout and take the second exit. Just before you take the exit you should see The Grove from the road. You are now on Grove road. The first turning on your left is our entrance to the car park.
Arriving by Coach or Train: The main Bournemouth train and coach stations are both situated less than a mile from the Grove. Taxis are always available at the station.
