Whitby Festivals

The Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay area are top spots for folk and live music in Yorkshire. Whitby Goth Weekends run twice yearly in Spring and Autumn, and the celebrated Whitby Folk Week plus the historic Whitby Regatta both run annually in August. Smaller beer festivals, family fun events in Pannett Park and a fantastic range of themed events on both of Whitby’s steam railways from wartime weekends to Santa Specials all feature in the town.

Whitby Goth Weekend

Incredibly popular Whitby Goth Weekends run twice yearly in the town – one in Spring and one in Autumn around the Halloween weekend. Ticket purchase options include Full Weekend Tickets, Friday only and Saturday only tickets. Originating in the 1990s, Whitby’s Goth Weekend goes from strength to strength year on year and features a great mix of goth markets, best live music and club nights.

Whitby Folk Week & Whitby Regatta

Whitby Folk Week takes place annually across one week in mid-August. Alongside a superb choice of live music events are workshops, dances, street entertainment and numerous other fringe events. August is a big month for festivals and events in the town. The Whitby Regatta also takes annually during August, offering four fun packed days of yacht and rowing races plus great family fun entertainment, a firework display and more.
