Local Boat Trips

A range of Weymouth boat trips are available exploring local landmarks such as Chesil Beach and The Fleet nature reserve. The Isle of Portland lies South of Weymouth, and all along Weymouth’s coastline you’ll gaze in wonder at the spectacularly shaped Jurassic geology and fossil-rich rocks. Boat trip companies offer leisurely local cruises taking in Pulpit Rock, the Isle of Portland, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, whilst others offer adrenaline pumping speedboat rides along the coast. For disabled groups the MV Freedom is a specially designed boat with wheelchair access run by volunteers. Hop aboard the glass-bottomed boat which takes you across The Fleet lagoons behind Chesil Beach giving you a glimpse of underwater marine wildlife that you’re unlikely to see otherwise. Popular Kayak Tours are also available along the local coastline and the historic Waverley paddle steamer stops at Weymouth Pier during the Summer season.
