The West and East Malling area between Maidstone and Sevenoaks is the perfect gateway into Mid and West Kent. Pretty West Malling is brimming with heritage buildings in and around the centre including Norman Keep St Leonard’s Tower on the outskirts of the town thought to have been constructed by the Bishop of Rochester, Gundulf, in 1080!

Other highlights include the central Malling Abbey, a Benedictine Abbey open to the public on heritage open days. Great Comp Garden at Platt with its 7 acres of gardens, gift shop, tearooms and country manor house is also not to be missed, situated just a 10 minute drive from West Malling.
