Wells-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk Coast is a real centre for seafood and offers the perfect central base for holidays on the Norfolk Heritage Coast. The narrow High Street and Staithe Street in Wells push down towards the historic harbour and quay and are lined with craft shops, stylish boutiques, souvenir shops, cafes, tearooms and sandwich shops serving fine crab sandwiches. Locally caught seafood is on offer in the many fine fish and chip restaurants and takeaways and in the town, with great crab houses situated around the Quayside.

The Wells & Walsingham Light Railway
The Wells & Walsingham Light Railway is one of the longest narrow gauge railway in existence and offers a fun day out for all the family. The line runs from harbour town Wells to historic Walsingham, once a famous site of pilgrimage, situated 3 miles south of Wells. En-route the railway winds through beautiful countryside under five bridges. Wells station is the main station with its restored signal box and onsite shop selling refreshments and railway souvenirs.
