Umberleigh village on the banks of the River Taw in North Devon sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the heart of Devon farming county. Visit the Cobbaton Combat Collection, a military museum displaying an extensive collection of largely World War Two artefacts. Huge tanks, gas masks, uniforms and ration books are all on display and the museum shop offers an opportunity to purchase collector items, souvenirs toys and more.
Umberleigh is conveniently situated near the site of the annual early August North Devon Show at Umberleigh Barton Farm located just to the north of the village along the A377. This is North Devon’s premier agricultural show featuring demonstrations and parades of livestock, a dog show and trade stands in a marquee with food hall showcasing the best of North Devon crafts and local produce.
