Aberdeen City Council, in collaboration with other arts funding bodies, has created a new festival in the city. February will see Aberdeen glowing with displays of illuminated artworks, light works and projections. Spectra is a major new four-day festival, which will also include street performances and the Reclaim the Night Promenade, bringing technicolor exuberance to the city’s streets. The Light Garden in Union Terrace Gardens will involve the planting of a thousand sparkling light flowers. New interior light works will also be presented by the festival artists.
