Southampton Airport is one of England’s most accessible airports, located just off the M27, Junction 5 and within an easy drive of the M3. Sat Nav postcode location is SO18 2NL. Southampton city centre is about 4 miles to the south of the Airport. You can opt for car hire, or pick up excellent bus and rail links running regularly between the Airport and city centre. This includes a night bus service running every 60 minutes on Friday and Saturday nights! Taxi services are available on a 24 hour basis.

Flights & Facilities

Inbound and outbound flights from Southampton run to numerous destinations within the UK and across Europe including recently introduced flights to and from Hamburg. Services and facilities are comprehensive from three car parks servicing the long and short stay traveller to free 4 hours worth of WiFi internet access and a plentiful choice of eating, shopping and car rental options. Find The Car Rental Reception Centre located just across from the terminal building and adjacent to the Short Stay Car Park. Airport/Cruise Transfer

The close proximity of Southampton Airport to Cruise Terminal departure points makes it easy to fly in and join your cruise. What’s more taxis are permitted access to Dock Gates 4, 8 and 10 on cruise sailing days – a taxi desk is situated within the Airport Terminal building. Pre-booking taxis is recommended as demand is always high on Cruise sailing days.

Airport Parking

Southampton Airport has three parking options onsite including short stay undercover parking available at a great value price and located within a 2 minute stroll of the terminal building. For just a small additional cost Priority Parking is available only a 60 second walk from the terminal building. Priority Parking is on the ground floor and has wider bays for easy luggage emptying. It’s also the closest parking to the airport terminal building. For travellers taking longer holidays or business trips, long-stay parking is the best option located only 5 minutes by shuttle bus from the terminal building. Getting Here

By road, Southampton Airport is clearly signposed just off the M27, Junction 5. One of the great things about this airport is the ease of transfer between one form of transport to another. Southampton Airport has one of the quickest plane to train connections in Europe. It’s just 99 steps (less than one minute) up to the Airport Terminal Building from Southampton Airport Parkway Station. The station boasts fast rail links to and from the city centre (7 minutes), Winchester (10 minutes), London Waterloo (69 minutes) and Portsmouth (60 minutes). Several bus companies offer fast bus links between the airport and city centre.
