Sennen Cove

Sennen Cove on the coast is all about the beach. Here sits one of the country’s most beautiful award-winning beaches, a favourite with families and surfers. Flanking the sandy beach bay is ample car parking, a beach restaurant and popular pub – The Old Success Inn. The Old Boathouse selling beach equipment and basic essentials and The Round House art gallery also feature in the area.

Whitesand Bay

Whitesand Bay is the far west’s great sweeping sandy beach bay, around one mile in length, with Sennen Cove beach located on the southern edge of the Bay. The entire bay is backed by stunning sand dunes and granite headlands flank each side of the Bay. The sand is firm – perfect for sandcastles, and the Atlantic waters are a glittering turquoise taking on an exotic Mediterranean feel in high summer. The Bay is divided by a rocky outcrop, with Gwenver Beach at the far northern end. At low tide part of the coast path is exposed here, linking the two beaches. Both beaches on the bay are lifeguarded in summer. Sennen Cove is the family hotspot with gentle surf on offer. Head to Gwenver beach for best surfing conditions.
