Cricket has long been a popular pastime in Scarborough with hub Yorkshire cricket venue, the central Scarborough Cricket Club hosting an annual cricket festival and featuring a range of premier hospitality and dining facilities.
Enjoy premier links golf courses at Scarborough South Cliff Golf Club and North Cliff Golf Club or hire bikes and head off for some off roading in the North York Moors National Park. Award-winning indoor sports facilities include Scarborough Bowls Centre in the North Bay area with eight world class indoor rinks and a popular annual Bowls festival. Just a short trip inland sees you in beautiful Yorkshire countryside and the North York Moors where you’ll find a host of outdoor activities from horse riding, activity centres and cycling to walking trails and off roading.
Scarborough boat trips are available daily in the summer season on public pleasure cruises from Scarborough’s Lighthouse Pier (good weather permitting).
