Redcar Racecourse

Close to the northern border on the North York Moors, Redcar Racecourse is a firm favourite amongst flat racing fans hosting 18 race meets each year from April to November. Fixtures & Highlights

Commencing in April, Redcar’s flat racing season features some real highlights including the famous Zetland Gold Cup Day in May, one of the big highlights of the Spring racing season annually. Themed packages available include everything from BBQ Packages to Punter’s and Curry & Pint Packages! Redcar’s Gold Cup Day is great for families with games and family entertainment always on offer.

The summer Ladies’ Day takes place every June and evening meets also feature along with extra special themed race meets like the August Caribbean Carnival Day. As Redcar’s racing season draws to a close, the Autumn highlight is the Two Year Old Trophy Day in early October, a race always televised and representing the last fixture of the Racing UK Straight Mile Championship Series.


Redcar has two Enclosures – the Grandstand Enclosure and The Course Enclosure, both with outstanding views across to the course. The Grandstand has the best views, and a great selection of dining options and bars. You also have easy access to the Betting Ring, Winners’ Enclosure and Parade Ring. The spacious Course Enclosure contains picnic areas, a cafe and bar. Here you’ll find entertainment on designated days – The Course Enclosure is a popular choice with families.

Hospitality Packages

Hospitality suites include The Paddock Suite adjacent to the Parade Ring with viewing balcony affording fantastic views across to the Winning Post and Parade Ring. This suite can accommodate party groups of 40, 60 or 100. Smaller parties can opt for The Petch Stand with individual boxes and great views across to the Straight Mile and the Winning Post.

Choose from a selection of Hospitality catering packages ranging from Platinum to Bronze, sit down dining to buffets all featuring delicious locally sourced food and drink. Parties, conference events, celebrations and Stag & Hen Parties are all warmly welcomed. The racecourse can cater for anything from small gatherings of 20 to large parties of up to 150 in the Paddock Suite – or more with marquee hire.

Getting Here

Redcar has ample free parking available onsite and is easily reached by road via the A1, A66, A19 and the A174 Parkway. Durham Tees Valley Airport is just a short drive away and the racecourse is conveniently situated just a 7 minute walk from Redcar’s Central Station which offers fast links to Darlington on the East Coast Mainline. Alternatively hop into a taxi – usually available directly adjacent to the station building.
