Pwllheli

The market town of Pwllheli is set in a picturesque location on the Lleyn Peninsula close to wonderful sandy beaches and great activities including pony-trekking, quad biking, golf and fishing. The Wakestock Wakeboarding Festival comes to the town each July with wakeboarding competitions taking place around Cardigan Bay and a great line up of music acts available. When the festival isn’t in town, Pwllheli offers a peaceful base for a family break and boasts a marina for up to 400 boats. There are two beaches including the Blue Flag South Beach and the sandy Glan-y-Mor beach. A weekly market is held each Wednesday and there are plenty of shops to browse around during your stay.

Pwllheli offers a great choice of accommodation holiday cottages set on a working farm with hot tubs, family run hotels close to the beaches ideal for families and larger cottages ideal for groups. Spa holidays are a popular choice with onsite facilities available at some cottage complexes. Look out for cottages offering access to outdoor play areas if you are travelling with the kids and many accommodations are pet friendly so you bring the family dog along too.
