Newquay offers a great mix of informal dining experiences serving up flavours from across the globe and best local produce. Around the town centre sit a huge choice hip surf cafes and coffee shops, family friendly restaurants and traditional Cornish cafes. Seafood is exceptional in the resort, and fresh from the local catch. Fish & Chip takeaways are plentiful around the town and alongside beaches. Award-winning takeaways and food shops include Morris pasties on Gover Lane. Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Restaurant is at Watergate Bay and there are some great cliff top dining venues like Maharajah Indian Restaurant overlooking Tolcarne beach. A number of excellent Mexican Cantina and restaurants with best cocktails are also here in Newquay and many of the resort’s lively bars serve food like The Bullpit Smokehouse and Bar on Beach Road.
Head to the Beached Lamb Cafe with its chilled out atmosphere and all day food menu including wine and cocktails or enjoy lunch and beautiful lake views at the Lakeside Cafe next to Newquay Boating Lake. If you’re looking for the resort’s best breakfast head to The Fistral Chef! Newquay also hosts a big annual Fish Festival in September around the harbour showcasing the best of Cornish produce and locally caught seafood, and also featuring food and craft stalls and plenty of family games, activities, competitions and events. During the Christmas season the resort also hosts a Christmas Food and Craft Market and a Music and Ale festival.
