St Annes’ beach is an award winner and the resort’s Victorian pier is one of the UK’s prettiest dating from 1885. The Pier Cafe serves up the finest Lancashire home-cooked food accompanied by spectacular views of the Fylde Coast. Shops, amusement arcades and children’s rides are all to be found on the pier and a cluster of seaside attractions sit just to the south of the pier including St Annes Pool, The Bandstand, Miniature Golf and Railway and beautiful Fairhaven Lake and Gardens with RSPB Discovery Centre.

Fairhaven Lake

Nestling between Lytham St Annes and Lytham, Fairhaven Saltwater Lake offers a choice of attractions and activities. The lake is popular for boating. Motorboats, canoes and rowing boats can all be hired and the lake is an important site for wildfowl including Canada Geese, Swans and Water Hens. An RSPB Discovery Centre and cafe sit alongside the lake. Colourful festivals are held here at Fairhaven Lake including the Dragon Boat Festival in late September.

Lytham Windmill

Discover more great attractions in Lytham beyond Granny’s Bay. The Grade II listed Victorian Lytham Windmill on the coastal green is a famous feature on the Fylde Coast and is free to enter, featuring a tourist information point and exhibition on Victorian life in Lytham in the basement area.

Lytham Heritage Centre

Find out more about Lytham’s local history at The Lytham Heritage Centre housed within a Grade II Listed former bank in the town. Run by volunteers, the heritage centre overlooks the Pedestrianised plazza.
