The iconic Anfield stadium sits just 3 miles north of the city centre, 4 miles off the M62 and 7 miles from the end of the M57 and M58. Clear signposting to Liverpool FC is from the city centre. Liverpool Lime St Station is a mere 2 miles from the club, and taxi prices are cheap or alternatively buses depart regularly to the stadium from Queen Square bus station.
Everton FC Tours
Everton Football Club’s history is as rich as its neighbour, stretching back to 1878. Numerous football greats have played for the club through the years including the legendary William Ralph Dean and Gary Lineker. Goodison Park, Everton FC’s historic stadium, sits just 3 miles north of Liverpool city centre.
Everton Football Club is one of England’s oldest, with a rich football history dating from its origins as the ‘parks and gardens’ team of St Domingo School in 1878. The name change to Everton a year later. Back then Stanley Park half a mile away from Everton’s current historic stadium Goodison Park was the venue for matches (with the team carrying their own goal posts!).
Everton’s stadium tour experiences are available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 11am to 1pm. No tours are available on match days. Your Goodison Park tour will last around one and a quarter hours, and include a walk down the famous tunnel, behind the scenes tours of dressing rooms and more. Individual bookings, small and large groups are all welcome.
