Other guided walks are available and services on the island can help transport your luggages along your route. Cycling is also a popular activity and bikes can be hired on the island which covers 147 square miles and 200 miles of cycle routes. Multi-day rides include the popular ‘Round the Island’ route which passes through Ventnor, Brighstone, Cowes and Bembridge or explore the Troll Trail which follows an old railway line between Merstone and Newport through the heart of the island.

Sailing events on the Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight is famous for its programme of sailing events and a quality bed and breakfast in Cowes in the ideal base for the Round the Island Race or if you are just watching the boats sail by at the annual Cowes Week. Other events include the Cowes Classic Powerboat Race in August and the Little Britain Championship which takes place in September. During your stay, you could also explore other famous coastal landmarks on the Isle of Wight including the Needles which can be found in the west of the island close to Freshwater.
