Miles of some of Britain’s most spectacular sandy beaches are along Greater Yarmouth’s coast stretching for around 15 miles from Winterton in the north to Hopton in the south. Family friendly Great Yarmouth beaches are wide with beautiful endless sands. Beaches around the town centre and main Gt Yarmouth Promenade include Central Beach and South Beach.

Central Beach runs from Britannia Pier all the way south past Great Yarmouth Jetty to Wellington Pier. Donkey rides, bouncy castles and trampolines all feature on Central Beach, Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile. A host of amusements, seaside cafes and ice cream kiosks line the promenade flanking Central Beach as well as attractions like the Marina Centre indoor water park.

South Beach stretches from Wellington Pier south toward Pleasure Beach amusement park, the outer harbour and Nelson’s Monument. South Beach is a little quieter featuring sand dunes and stunning wide golden sands.

On the Greater Yarmouth Coast sit more breathtaking sandy beaches like Gorleston-on-Sea beach with paddling pool, golden sands, cafes, beach gardens and bowling green. Find wide sandy Great Yarmouth beaches at Caister to the north and Hopton with its many family holiday village parks to the south. Other Greater Yarmouth beach highlights include the beautiful sandy beach and cliffs at Scratby (popular for surfing) and California to the north. Sand dunes and a nature reserve are at Winterton-on-Sea also to the north of Great Yarmouth.
