Situated in a quiet corner of Surrey close to the Hampshire border, Farnham is home to a range of family and historical attractions to keep the whole all ages entertained during your stay. Families can enjoy a fun day out to Farnham Carnival or a walk around the ancient Alice Holt Woodland Park which is ideal for walks and cycle rides. The annual Weyfest festival also caters well for families and is situated at the Rural Life Centre each August/ September. For the more adventurous, there’ also a Go Ape high ropes course with onsite cafe to relax in after your tree climbing.

Adults might enjoy a trip around the Hogs Back Brewery where you can watch the brewing process and, more enticingly, sample the local produce. There’s plenty for culture vultures to enjoy including the 12th Century Farnham Castle, The Museum of Farnham and the Pride of the Valley Sculpture Park. The beautiful ruins of Waverley Abbey, the first Cistercian Abbey in England to be built in the 12th Century, can also be found two miles south of the town. For walkers, Farnham is an ideal location as it’s from here that the 153 mile North Downs National Trail starts.
