Cheshire’s ancient capital not only has a spectacularly unique city centre, but also a picture-postcard riverside along the River Dee. Just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre sees you down on the pretty waterfront where you can board one of the Chester Boat’s large showboats for a river cruise. Alternatively hire motor boats, pedal boats or rowing boats and head off on your own water-based excursion.
