Two of the New Forest’s most popular family attractions are in this area of the northern Forest. The New Forest Wildlife Park near Ashurst is just south east of Cadnam and is open all year round. Guaranteeing a family fun day out, the Park has adventure playgrounds galore and lots of fascinating animals including otters, barn owls, ferrets, Red and Fallow Deer and many other small animals and birds. A Woodland restaurant is onsite serving lots of tasty meals and snacks, and the park offers some great animal encounter experiences including meeting the keeper in the tropical butterfly house and giant otter feeding in the owlery.

Longdown Activity Farm

More family fun is on the menu at Longdown Activity Farm also in Ashurst, open daily from 10am to 5pm. Kids can bottle-feed goats and calves, meet the friendly pigs and baby rabbits and there are outdoor play areas including a trampoline barn. The onsite farm shop has a range of local produce and there’s a gift shop, tearoom and picnic areas.

Paultons Family Theme Park
