Flying Machines at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Popular attractions include the Sandcastle Water Park which is the largest indoor waterpark in the UK, and the Pleasure Beach theme park home to the Big One and Nickelodeon Land. Also at the Pleasure Beach, you’ll find the Blackpool Arena with regular shows. Blackpool is always adding to its attractions profile, and many have seasonal runs like the recent incredibly popular Illuminasia (the world’s largest indoor illuminations) at Winter Gardens. Recent new additions include Dinosaur World on the Promenade opposite Central Pier. Indoor water worlds don’t come much better than all weather attraction Sandcastle Waterpark on South Shore with over 18 slides and water themed attractions from fun pools to wave machine and water chutes. A real indoor waterworld village, you’ll find all you need for a fun packed family day out inside including burger and snack bars, a swim shop and award-winning accessible facilities and amenities. Sandcastle is great for birthday parties and features rides, slides and water play areas suitable for children of all ages.

Inland Blackpool Zoo & Model Village
A cluster of great Blackpool family attractions sit just 2 miles inland around Stanley Park including the Zoo and Blackpool Model Village.Stanley Park, first opened in 1926 features the award winning model village and themed gardens with accessible pathways, ample seating areas, water features and a large lake. Blackpool Zoo is just a 10 minute drive off the M55, junction 4 and is a multi-award winning attraction home to over 1,500 animals and 400 species including Asian elephants, gorillas, lions, giraffes and water-dwelling animals such as sea lions and penguins. Large birds such as emus are also here along with predators like crocodiles and the somewhat less-threatening giant turtle. Camels, zebras, llamas and exotic birds live in naturalistic recreated environments across the 32 acre site. Snakes and other reptiles also have a home here along with creepy insects and many other magnificent creatures.
