Wethercote Farm offers a self catering cottage sleeping up to 5 people. Ideally set in a peaceful location on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park with stunning views, beautiful walks and wonderful countryside. Set in a 280 acre working family farm with sheep, cattle and a variety of crops, you can relax and unwind in this peaceful setting and enjoy the variety of walks, abbeys, priories and stately homes to be enjoyed in this area.
Newly refurbished to a high standard, Wethercote Cottage retains several charming features including the ancient low beams, which add character to the accommodation. The living accommodation is open plan and the lounge has two leather sofas, a feature fireplace and a flat screen TV. There is also a dining area which can seat four and well equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob, fridge, microwave and other small appliances.
The comfortable bedrooms are presented as one double and one twin. An extra single fold out bed can be provided and both bedrooms also have a television. The modern bathroom has a WC, hand basin and shower over the bath.
The changeover day is Saturday and short breaks may be available from November to the end of March.
The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway makes a nostalgic day out, or maybe for families enjoy a day at Flamingo Land or Lightwater Valley theme parks. York and Whitby are also within easy reach or take some leisurely time to explore James Herriot Country. Whatever you choose to do in this lovely area, Wethercote Farm makes a great holiday home.
