Brontes Rest Cottage in Scarborough is a beautifully presented Victorian fisherman's cottage nestling in the centre of Scarborough's medieval old town, a mere 2 minute stroll from the harbour and award-winning beaches. The property is detached and sits at the foot of Scarborough Castle, close to the steps up to St Mary's Church and the burial site of author Anne Bronte. Bright and cheerful throughout, and with a vintage feel, the cottage is double fronted and perfect for couples or families. A warm welcome is assured to all. The cottage has a cosy outdoor open courtyard patio with a small bistro set which is accessed from the back door.
In July and August parking is included in the tariff. Outside of high season please contact us directly for more information on local parking options. Temporary unloading space is adjacent to the cottage.
Brontes Rest is ideal for families of four. The cottage is suitable for the less mobile with access from street level.
Well trained pets are welcome. £20 per dog for a short break and £25 per dog for a weekly booking. Please keep pets on the ground floor of the property only.
A welcome basket inclusive of tea, coffee and sugar and some other essentials is available on arrival.
Gas, electricity, bed linen and towels are all also included in your booking together with your first supply of logs/coal for the open fire. Please bring along your own beach towel.
WiFi/Broadband is available in the cottage.
Accommodation is non-smoking throughout.

Follow signs for the castle and once on Castle Road, just after the Scarborough Arms take a right turn on to Tollergate and Friargate, then left onto St Sepulchre Street and keep on the road leading round to Princess Street. Half way down Princess Street at the break in the houses take the right hand turn onto Princess Lane. Brontes Rest is the only property on this road - No.2 featuring a pink door. Parking is close by around the castle and Princess Square.
