The Bankfoot Inn is a traditional 18th Century Scottish country Inn based in the heart of Perthshire just 6 miles from Perth and Dunkeld. Our six comfortable guest rooms are ideal for long and short stays throughout the year and we have a fantastic onsite restaurant and two bars.
There is plenty to see and do nearby including exploring freshwater rivers and lochs for fishing and plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling (we also have lock up facilities for bikes and fishing equipment). Our pet friendly Inn offers relaxed and courteous service, with cosy and comfortable rooms and log burning stoves in the bar and restaurant.

We have recently been awarded the title of the "Pub of the Year" in Tayside by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).
Our six rooms comprise standard singles and twins to luxury and superior double rooms. All rooms have en-suite facilities apart from our standard single and double rooms.
Each room has a flat screen TV with digital channels, a DVD player (DVD library available for guests), tea and coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi access.
A laundry service and ironing facilities are available and we are also able to provide a cot for those travelling with young children. Dogs are welcome throughout the hotel and in rooms provided they are well behaved and have their own bedding.
All room rental prices are inclusive of a Full Scottish breakfast served in our restaurant dining area each morning. We also serve a range of lighter cooked options and a buffet of cereals, toast and hot beverages.
Ingredients are sourced locally and we are able to cater for special dietary requirements with prior notification.

Relax in our informal and friendly restaurant where we serve a range of traditional yet varied dishes accompanied by a wide array of alcoholic and soft drinks from our two bar areas.
We are open between Wednesdays and Sundays for lunches and dinners and host traditional folk music sessions on Wednesday evenings.
All of our food is home cooked and ingredients are sourced from local farms and butchers. The restaurants has a cosy wood burning stove and open fires throughout – ideal for the chilly winter months. We also have a range of vegetarian options on our menu.
We can cater for parties and our restaurant comfortably accommodates 30 people for dining. Please contact us for further information.
Check in is available between 3pm and 11pm on arrival day and rooms must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
Pets are charged at an additional £10 per stay and all groups are welcome to stay in our friendly inn.
The area around our fantastic inn is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts with access to a wealth of walking and cycling opportunities in the surrounding countryside and nearby Tay Forest Park.
River Tay Salmon fishing is particularly popular and world class enjoying some of the country’s best scenery. Brown Trout season begins in March whilst Salmon season runs from January. Both end in October.
The hotel itself dates back to the 1700’s and with 250 years of service in its history, the building is said to be haunted by a number of ghosts. There have been various sightings in different areas of the hotel and paranormal investigators have revealed that our hotel is in fact haunted.
We are located in the village of Bankfoot, just off the A9, about 7 miles north of Perth and 6 miles south of Dunkeld. We are about 45 miles from both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.
