    Around and About

The charming village of Newtonmore overlooks the River Spey in the Cairngorms National Park. Newtonmore has a variety of shops, two award-winning museums and the Newtonmore Craft Centre, providing most amenities that visitors will require. It was also the setting for the popular TV series ‘Monarch of the Glen' and will be instantly recognisable to anyone who was a fan of the show. There is a seven-mile circular walk around the village that takes in some wonderful diverse scenery on the way as well as breathtaking views across to the Cairngorms. This area has much to offer in the way of outdoor activities and attractions including cycling, pony riding, climbing and skiing. With all this to offer, the area makes a fabulous holiday destination for a family holiday all year round.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
