Around and About

The bustling market town of Skipton is a southern gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, famed for its award-winning markets and spectacular medieval castle surrounded by pretty woodland.

The historic Leeds Liverpool Canal flows through the heart of the town and you can pick up scenic canal cruises from the central canal basin.  We're an ideal central base for the town's popular annual Waterways Festival in late April/ early May.

Harrogate, Ilkley, Leeds and York are all within easy driving distance, and we are conveniently close to a range of popular attractions in the area including Bolton Abbey and the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, Malham Cove and Stup Cross Caverns.

Skipton's bus and railway stations are only a few minutes' walk from the guesthouse.  We're also easily reached by car, situated along the A629.  On-street parking and free overnight parking in our large car park is available.
