Nestling on the edge of Pickering market town, Hungate Cottages are the perfect holiday base from which to explore the North York Moors and Yorkshire Coast. We have eleven charming cottages, all beautifully converted Georgian limestone farm buildings centered around two pretty courtyards. They all have open fires and family facilities, with shared on-site parking, a children's playground and utility room.
Each cottage includes a fully fitted kitchen with a washer/ dryer, fridge and freezer or combined fridge/ freezer, tea towels and a cafetiere.
Sitting rooms are cosy and warm with open fires and free logs provided plus flatscreen TVs with Freeview, DVDs, CD/ cassette players and DAB radios with iPod docks.
All except Farndale feature king size double beds, with duvets, linen and towels provided.

This is the ideal Coast & Moors holiday base for families. Town centre amenities and the famous steam railway running all the way to Whitby are within walking distance and York is within easy driving distance.
Pickering is located on the A170 intersection with the A169.
From the South - Take the M1 to J32, then M18 and A1(M) northwards. Take the A64 past York towards Scarborough. At Malton take the A169 to Pickering.
From North - Go towards Thirsk which is 30 miles south of Middlesborough. At Thirsk take the A170 Eastbound towards Scarborough. Pickering is after Helmsley, and on the junction with the A169.
From Lancashire and West Yorkshire - M62 eastbound then M1 northbound to Junction 44 and take the A64 for Scarborough. At Malton take the A169 to Pickering.
The cottages are on the right hand side of Recreation Road, opposite the cricket field. Turn right under the arch just past Keepersgate, and drive up into the main car park. Please note that the entrance to Hungate Garden Cottage is via its own drive just before the main arch.
