Dating from the Arts and Crafts period, The Mount is a home full of soul and Edwardian charm which boasts beautiful views over Derwent Water and the surrounding fells. Perfect for larger families and groups, the house retains many original features which are complimented by hotels standard ensuites, superb self catering facilities and an attractive courtyard garden.
The amenities of Keswick can be found a short walk away and the surrounding area is ideal for gentle lakeside walks, boat trips, cycling, canoeing or relaxing with a good ale or cream tea.
The comfortable lounge is well appointed with leather sofas, an open fire and flat screen with HDMI ports and BluRay player. There is also a music system with 3.5mm audio lead for connecting iPods, phones and other music players. The light and bright dining room is set next to the kitchen and offers plenty of seating for up to twelve people.
The beautiful kitchen forms the heart of the house and includes a gas Aga*, modern four plate induction hob and under counter dual oven. There is also a dishwasher, casual dining area for four people and adjacent utility room with laundry facilities.
The outside space includes a well maintained flower garden to the front with path leading up to the front door. To the side, there is an outside bench which can be extended to seat twelve people. The large car park can be found to the rear.
* An extra charge applies for use of the gas Aga and intended use should be included in bookings.
A travel cot and high chair are available free of charge.
The Mount primarily operates as a Bed & Breakfast but is opened up as self catering accommodation at certain times of the year including the summer, Easter, Christmas and New Year.
