Situated close to the excellent amenities of Porlock, High Bank is a charming end of terrace cottage ideal for walkers exploring Exmoor National Park. A challenging local walk leads up to Hawkcombe Head and the cottage is also set within easy reach of the harbour village of Porlock Weir. Families are very welcome and the cottage is also dog friendly by prior arrangement.
A door to the left as you enter the cottage leads into a pretty dining room with wood burner stove, large round table for six people and well stocked book shelves. There is also a well equipped kitchen fitted with a dishwasher, electric range cooker with six rings, grill and two ovens. The utility room houses the fridge/ freezer, washing machine, sink plus an additional downstairs WC.
Turn right at the front door to find the lounge with second wood burner, TV, bookcases, sofa and additional seating. A door leads through to the conservatory with further chairs and sliding doors out into the garden.
The bedrooms are presented as one double, one twin/ super-king size double and one bunk bedroom. There is also a first floor modern bathroom with spa bath, overhead shower and Saniflo WC along with a second shower room fitted with cubicle, mains WC and hand basin.
Allocated parking for two cars can be found opposite the cottage (across the lane).
The cottage has a small courtyard/ patio area directly to the rear and there is private garden space down by the river. Children should be supervised as the garden steps are steep and the speed/ flow of the river can vary considerably depending on rainfall/ time of year.

Short breaks of two nights or more may be available at certain times of the year. Two dogs are accepted by prior arrangement at an extra charge of £15 each per stay.
Arrival time is after 4pm and check out time is by 10am on your departure day.
