Welcome to Lochedge Lodge on the Isle of Harris, a luxurious self catering property right on the side of Loch Maaruig close to fabulous outdoor activities and white sandy beaches. Perfect for two people, couples on a romantic break are very welcome and the property is also ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with kayaking, walking, fishing, watersports and golf all to enjoy in the surrounding area. The Hebridean Way runs closeby and the lodge sits at the foot of Clisham, the highest of the Harris mountains.
Main road links to the rest of the island can also be found within a short drive including to Stornoway (29 miles) and Tarbert (9 miles).
The lodge is entered through its own front door which leads into a spacious hallway with stairs, doors of natural wood and a practical, tiled floor. This leads to the open-plan living room with stylish leather sofa, a wall mounted TV, dining area for two and beautiful views over the loch and mountains. The contemporary kitchen space is well appointed with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine and fridge with ice box.
The contemporary double bedroom has dual aspect windows boasting excellent views of the Clisham, two armchairs and a range of quality storage including a dressing table and bedside tables. The modern shower room is set on the ground floor off the main hallway and is fitted with a large shower, WC and hand basin.
Guests can relax on the furnished patio and enjoy the magnificent views over Loch Maaruig and the surrounding Harris mountains.
There is also parking, under-cover storage for bikes and guests can bring a boat if they wish to.
The rental charge includes bed linen, bathrobes, towels, heating and lighting. We also supply some complimentary toiletries and a small welcome basket. Coffee and tea are kept in stock for all our visitors and fresh milk and bread will be provided on arrival.
Wi-Fi is provided at the cottage but please note that the service is limited and not suitable for streaming or downloading.
Pets are welcome (maximum 1 dog) by arrangement only - please request and discuss with us when booking. The cost is £30 per dog, per stay payable direct to the owner on arrival.
Short breaks of four nights or more may be available at certain times of the year. Check in time is after 4pm and please vacate by 11am on your departure day.
A safety deposit of £100 is required on arrival, payable direct to the owner. This will be returned to you at the end of your stay.
