Perfect for up to eight people, this luxury cottage is ideal for both short breaks and weekly stays. A short walk through the Museum Gardens takes to the main attractions including Betty's Tea rooms, the Shambles and York Minister. Guests can also enjoy scenic walks or boat trips along the River Ouse which along the bottom of Marygate and the city's transport links including York train station are also situated within easy reach.
Enjoy relaxing in the gorgeous lounge with feature Georgian fireplace, solid wood flooring, comfortable sofas, leather armchairs, a 40" Panasonic Smart TV with Netflix and Pioneer HiFi. Artwork by a local artist adorns the wall and the original 300 year old 'wonky' staircase leads up to the first floor landing with second original Georgian fireplace.
The new hand-made kitchen is fitted with a top quality range of Smeg and Neff appliances such as an integrated dishwasher, washer/ dryer, fridge/ fridge and range cooker. There is also a Belfast sink and a large antique refectory table, pew bench and two chairs which provide seating for up to eight adults. Underfloor heating helps keep this room warm and cosy all year round.
All bedrooms feature super comfy Silent Night beds with top of the range diamond quailty mattresses, crisp 100% cotton sheets and duvets plus full black out blinds or curtains.
The cottage has a rear courtyard with pull out benches and planting.
The rental charge includes utilities, bed linen and towels.
The cottage is situated in a quiet, conservation area so we cannot accept bookings from stag or hen parties.
Short breaks starting on a Friday or Monday are welcome and arrival time is after 3pm. Please vacate by 10am on your final day.
A damage deposit of £300 is taken upon booking and refunded after your holiday.
