About this Holiday Cottage

Nestling in a beautiful location on the edge of Exmoor, Bentwitchen Barn Cottage is the perfect base for exploring with fabulous beaches, picturesque market towns and rambling country walks all to be found in the surrounding area. This charming 'upside-down' accommodation boasts three spacious bedrooms and the lovely first floor living space has been designed to make the most of the fabulous surrounding views.

A local village pub can be found less than two miles away and the nearest village amenities are at North Molton, four miles away. South Molton and Barnstaple are also located a short drive away and the cottage is ideal for golfing breaks, walkers and cyclists. Families or surfers may also enjoy a trip to the local beaches including Croyde and Saunton.

Inside

The beautiful open plan living accommodation is set on the first floor has has stone walls, exposed beams and trusses, a wood burner stove and plenty of comfortable leather sofas. There is also a family dining area with six chairs and excellent facilities in the kitchen include a traditional Aga with two ovens, an electric twin hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and small appliances such as a toaster and microwave. A TV, DVD player and CD player can be found in the lounge.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

All three double bedrooms are located on the ground floor of the cottage and each has an ensuite bath or shower room. The smallest bedroom also has its own dressing room.

Outside

Guests can enjoy relaxing on the furnished patio which overlooks the valley and gorse clad hill - deer and other wildlife can often be seen grazing. There is also a large lawn area which is shared with the cottage's owners who live next door.

Parking for two to three cars can be found on the driveway.

Other Things to Note

The rental charge includes towels, linen, central heating, underfloor heating and Wi-Fi service. The water supply comes from a private source.

Due to the layout and rustic nature of the cottage, the property would not be suitable for less mobile guests or wheel chair users.

Please note that the changeover day for the property is Saturday. Short breaks are not available and the property does not accept pets.

With the exception of babes in arms, young children are not accepted at the property due to the suspended walkways on the first floor. A cot and high chair are not provided for babies.
