Furnished to a high standard throughout, Bishop's Gate is part of a historic gatehouse which was once the entrance to the Bishop of Wells' Palace. The entrance to the cottage is under a Roman arch which was listed in the Domesday Book and the amenities of Wiveliscombe can be found just a short walk away.
Ideal for families and walking groups, Bishop's Gate offers easy access into Exmoor National Park and is also just a fifteen minute drive from The Quantock Hills - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The accommodation includes a good-sized living room with wood burner stove, plenty of comfortable seating, a feature stone fireplace and TV. There is also a family dining table with six chairs and modern facilities in the kitchen include an electric range oven, fridge/ freezer, washing machine and granite worktops.
The cottage has three first floor double bedrooms and two bath/ shower rooms.
The large garden is walled so very private and there is an outdoor table with chairs provided. Other facilities include a summerhouse and plenty of car parking for three or four cars.
The rental charge includes bed linen, towels, central heating, electricity plus an initial supply of logs and kindling.
The changeover day for the cottage is Saturday. Check in time is after 4pm and please vacate by 10am on your final day.
