Ideal for city breaks and relaxing family stays, 4 St George's House is a contemporary first floor property which is situated within a ten minute easy walk of the centre of Bath. Awarded 4 Star Gold by Visit England, this beautifully presented property has two balconies, private parking and lovely riverside walks can be enjoyed just a short stroll away.
Families are very welcome and the apartment is perfect for both short breaks and longer stays with breaks of two nights or more welcome. Guests can easily access Royal Victoria Park and other attractions including the Royal Crescent and Bath Assembly Rooms are also situated closeby.
The open plan living area provides a relaxing space for entertaining with two French doors each leading out onto their own balcony. There are also two soft leather reclining chairs with footstools, a leather sofa, TV, DVD/ Blu Ray player, free Wi-Fi and a DAB radio with Bluetooth which can be used for streaming from a phone/ iPod.
The oak dining table has four comfortable chairs and the sleek contemporary kitchen has granite worktops, a dishwasher, washer/ dryer, electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine. Some pods are provided to get you started and guests will find a washer/ dryer in the hall cupboard.
Everything you need for cooking is also supplied including a full range of china, glassware, champagne flutes, pans and utensils.
If you don't fancy cooking during your stay, fine dining ready meals can be arranged and delivered to your apartment at an extra charge.
Both bedrooms have been stylishly furnished with oak furniture and a six foot super king-size bed which can be presented as two singles if preferred. The crisp bed linens are from The White Company and the bedrooms also have pure lambswool throws, cushions, plenty of pillows and a TV.
There is one ensuite shower room with a glass enclosure and heated towel rail. The family bathroom has a full size bath with overhead shower, glass shower screen and heated towel rail. Both are also stocked with individual toiletries from 'Noble Isle' who supply the Savoy and Fortnum & Mason.
The apartment has secure private parking for one car and secure bike storage including a locker for storing helmets, shoes etc. The apartment is accessed by a flight up of steps up to the first floor.
Families with children of all ages are welcome with a cot and high chair available. The cot is suitable for babies weighing up to 13.5kg.
Extra parking is available nearby in the council run long-stay car park on Charlotte Street (payable locally).
Bedrooms are furnished with crisp cotton bed linens from The White Company, plenty of pillows and cushions, and complimentary toiletries in the bathrooms are from "Noble Isle" (as used at the Savoy and Fortnum & Mason).
Guests will receive a special Bath Reward Card, giving discounts in shops, restaurants and attractions across the city – including an extra hour for free to enjoy Bath’s famous spa at “Thermae Bath Spa” (Monday – Friday)! Please contact us for further information.
Short breaks of two nights or more are available.
Rates include private parking for one car, breakfast for the first morning, all linens and end of stay cleaning. If guests are booking for 14 nights or more, a two hour clean and linen change is included weekly.
Check in time is after 4pm and please vacate by 10am on your final day. Some flexibility on times is available when arranged in advance and guests arriving by train enjoy discounted rates at the secure luggage store opposite the station - contact us for further details.
Pets are not accepted and the property is non-smoking.
The surrounding area is peaceful, calm and convenient for all of the City's attractions - a car isn't needed during your stay here. Immediately around the corner is Norfolk Crescent, one of Bath's many Georgian crescents, and a pedestrian gate leads through to a footpath alongside the River Avon.
The famous Royal Crescent is less than ten minutes walk away and the shops, cafes, restaurants and bars of Queen's Square are five minutes walk away. The Thermae Bath Spa can be found a ten minute walk away and other attractions in the nearby area include The Botanical Gardens, Bath Golf Course, The Jane Austen Centre and the Herschel Museum of Astronomy.
If you are arriving by train, Bath Spa station is a short taxi ride or fifteen minute walk away. The nearest airport (Bristol) is 19 miles away and there is a regular airport bus into Bath. The nearest stop for St George's house is Nile Street.
