The Ramblings in Bridgetown near Dulverton is a beautifully presented Exmoor cottage in an elevated position overlooking the valley, the River Exe and woodland beyond. Bridgetown is a charming Exmoor village with a cricket ground, a great village inn and a host of surrounding cycling and walking opportunities. One dog is welcome for an extra fee by prior arrangement and there is onsite parking for one car and WiFi internet access available. The cottage also features lovely garden and patio areas with a summerhouse on the rear elevated patio area.
A patio/walkway is located along the front of the property with a table and chairs for two just in front of the kitchen window.
Stairs lead up to a more spacious patio area with a picnic table to the side.
Additional steps lead up to the summerhouse which is a perfect quiet spot for reading and relaxing. A table, chairs and fold-up loungers are available to use outside and a small BBQ is in the summerhouse which guests are welcome to use.
A store to the rear of the cottage is an ideal secure storage space for bikes and outdoor equipment.
A parking space for 1 car is situated outside the cottage, accessed via fairly steep steps with a hand rail which lead up from road level to the front of the cottage which is gated.
The cottage has electric heating throughout along with the woodburner in the lounge. We provide a starter supply of logs and kindling during the winter months. You can pick up further logs locally.
Other amenities include an iron and board plus a hairdryer. All electric and heating is included in the the booking price.
Please note due to the steep access from the parking area to the entrance, the cottage is unsuitable for guests with limited mobility and not suitable for wheelchair users.
One well trained dog is welcome by request for an additional charge of £15 per dog.

Arrival is from 4pm and departure is by 10am.
Picturesque Bridgetown is a small village located on the eastern side of Exmoor National Park. The beautiful Brendon Hills are nearby, and the cottage is walking distance of the village inn serving great food. A local camping/caravan park also has an onsite shop selling basic supplies including a good range of food options.
The cottage is in an ideal Exmoor location for some of the National Park's great walks and cycle rides running through wooded valleys and open moorlands.
Dulverton, famous as the southern gateway to Exmoor, is only 5 miles away and contains a variety of shops, a supermarket, Post Office, a fishing tackle shop, stylish independent boutiques, character gift shops, quality restaurants, tearooms and a pub.
In the other direction, Winsford is 3 miles away and Wheddon Cross with a village inn, petrol station and mini-supermarket is 5 miles away.
