Situated on a picturesque working farm in Ripley, Birchwood Stable Cottage has been lovingly renovated to retain the property's original character and provides excellent accommodation for couples or small families. The farm is set just across the road from the village amenities of Ripley which include a pub, butcher's shop, ice cream parlour and castle cafe. A bus service runs every twenty minutes from the village to Ripon and Harrogate. A short walk through the village takes guests to the beautiful Ripley Castle, lake and deer park.
The large studio room has exposed beams, a sofa, two chairs, TV and DVD player. The super king size bed can be presented as two singles if preferred and the modern kitchen has a dining table with four chairs, electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. The hallway has boot and shoe storage, a vanity unit for hand washing and leads to a utility room with washer/ dryer.
The shower room has a walk in cubicle, basin, disabled WC and grab rails.
There is an outdoor seating area with furniture and a BBQ. Please bring charcoal.
The cottage also has parking for two cars and stabling for horses is available onsite.
The owners are happy to show guests around the farm which is home to cattle, sheep and Clydesdale horses.
The rental price includes fuel, linen, towels and Wi-Fi. Children are welcome but guests should bring their own cot and high chair if they are required. Gas central heating is fitted. A welcome pack of toiletries and beverages are provided.
Short breaks of two nights or more may be available. Discounts are available for stays of four weeks or more.
Dogs are welcome but guests must respect that the owners have working farm dogs who may be territorial. No cats.
