Welcome to Yenworthy Cottage in 'Doone Country', a spectacularly located three bedroom farm property set on the northern slopes of Exmoor National Park. The accommodation dates from 1628 and was extended in 1840. There was once a mill and and old water wheel at the farm and these can still be seen. Thirteen miles of footpaths can be found at the farm which also has an old Roman fort. The surrounding area is also a haven for nature watchers with rare butterflies, trees, heather moorland and impressive cliff geology.
The stylish lounge has two large sofas, a wood burner stove, a dining area seating six, Freeview TV, a Blu-ray/ DVD player and a CD player/ iPod docking station and Wi-Fi service.
The kitchen is well appointed with a fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/ dryer, oven with hob, microwave, small appliances, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
The cottage has an enclosed lawn garden with picnic table, a patio area and parking for two cars. The property is surrounded by fabulous country views and walks.
The rental charge includes bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels. Please bring your own beach towels if they are required along with linen for the cot. There may also be non-perishables in the kitchen such as salt and pepper, basic cleaning products plus one or two loo rolls.
A basket of logs and kindling/ matches will be provided.
The property is strictly non-smoking.
The changeover date for the cottage is Friday and short breaks may be available during off peak times and within 14 days of arrival.
A maximum of three days are welcome at a charge of £25. Dogs must be kept under control at all times though as the property is set on a working farm.
