About the Richard III Hotel

Overlooking the market square in horse racing capital Middleham, the Richard III Hotel dates from the 17th Century and is within easy reach of Richard's famous Middleham Castle.  Dogs are warmly welcomed in rooms and in the bar - we're the perfect gateway into the Yorkshire Dales National Park and just a stone's throw from the market town of Leyburn.

Delicious food and real ales are served all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday - pre-booking for our popular Sunday lunch is recommended. Relax in front of real fires, in a friendly welcoming atmosphere or enjoy a drink in our outdoor seating area on warmer days. Private dining and meeting room facilities are also available in a charming rural village setting yet just off the A1 motorway.

Six uniquely themed guest rooms are available all with en-suite facilities. Three guest rooms are to the front and three to the rear (one room is supposed to be haunted - feel free to book this room if you dare!

Each room includes a flat-screen TV, complimentary toiletries, bottles of water and free WiFi. Breakfast is fully inclusive in room rates, and we'll happily supply extra beds for families in our Richard III Room and The Stable Room.
