About this Holiday Cottage

Castle Mews is a delightful mews style house offering three star self catering accommodation in the centre of the Lancashire coastal resort of Southport. Southport is an elegant Victorian seaside resort and discerning visitors have been holidaying here for over a hundred years. It is ideal for all visitors to Southport whether you are here for a holiday or business or to see family.

Within minutes walk of the property you will find the promenade, sea wall and beach as well as the shops of Lord Street, in addition to a wide range of restaurants and pubs. Southport is also home to a unique and amazing natural environment. It has one of the largest undiscovered dune systems in England and is home to thousands of wading birds. Red squirrels can also be found in the pinewoods at the National Trust Reserve at Freshfields, Formby.

Local buses run along Lord Street and Hoghton Street, just a few minutes walk from our property. Southport Railway Station is ten minutes walk from the house. There are trains every fifteen minutes to Liverpool and frequent trains to Manchester, so why not explore the North West whilst you're here?


The property sleeps up to five people and offer home from home comforts. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with gas cooker, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and iron. The dining table can seat up to eight people and there is ample crockery and cutlery should you wish to entertain. The large lounge/dining area has a television with Freeview (as do both bedrooms) for your entertainment.  

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

There is one king size double/twin bedroom and one twin bedroom. The main bedroom is spacious enough for a cot or put-u-up bed, both of which can be provided.  


The property has off road parking for one or two standard cars and is situated on a quiet road. 

There is also a small yard to the rear where guests can store bikes. This area also has a washing line plus a table with chairs.

Other Things to Note

The rental charge includes Wi-Fi service, bedding, towels, hot water and central heating. A hairdryer is also provided.


The preferred changeover day is Saturday and short breaks may be available during off peak times. Contact us for further details.

Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
